The Cambridge Project: Exploring a High-Grade Gold Deposit in NEVADA

Auburn Gold Mining LLC owns the mineral rights to the historic Cambridge Mine and surrounding area in the Walker Lane geologic belt in western Nevada. The Cambridge Mine was discovered in the 1850's and was once owned by the first governor of Nevada, Henry Goode Blasdel.  The mine had an intermittent mining history but was a known gold producer until being shut down like so many other mines during World War II.  At that time, gold was valued at $34 per ounce.  

The Cambridge Mine and surrounding gold-mineralized areas have never been fully explored using modern geological methods.  We are in the process of changing that.  With our joint venture partner, Silver Range Resources Ltd (TSX-V:SNG) www.silverrangeresources.com an aggressive exploration program is underway encompassing the approximately 4 square kilometers of the newly formed "Cambridge Project" (see NEWS & PRESS RELEASES tab).  The Cambridge Project, formed in spring of 2021, includes the Cambridge Mine proper and other associated high-grade gold-bearing vein systems in the area, including the Price Lode and North Trends.  It consists of a total of 51 unpatented federal lode mining claims:  15 owned by Auburn Gold Mining LLC, 21 owned by Silver Range Resources Ltd, and 15 jointly owned by Auburn Gold Mining LLC and Silver Range Resources Ltd.

The Cambridge Project exhibits certain geological attributes suggesting that high-grade gold-bearing veins may occur far beyond the point at which mining ceased in the 1940's.  The video below, prepared by our joint venture partner Silver Range Resources Ltd (TSX-V:SNG), provides a great summary of the history and geology of the Cambridge Mine and newly formed Cambridge Project.

Gold within the boundaries of the Cambridge Project is of a high-grade nature, with assay values up to 2.5 ounces per ton in surface grab samples containing no visible gold.  However, even higher grade gold is apparent from the many samples of visible gold that have been collected during surface exploration activities.  See the GALLERY tab for photos of just some examples of gold discovered in the Cambridge Mine area.
