The RT-9 Property is located approximately 13 km E of Smith Valley and 23 km S of Yerington, Nevada, with gold discovery in the early 1900's. The mine and associated workings are located along a 1.5- km trend in the footwall of a prominent north-striking range front fault on US Forest Service land. Gold mineralization at the RT-9 property is hosted in sympathetic, antithetic and cross-cutting veins and shears. Grab samples from the mine shaft and adit areas produced results of 54.3 g/t Au and 20.0 g/t Au from separate veins approximately 50 m apart. Mineralization extends far beyond the current 20-acre unpatented lode claim block.
